Mr. Omar B. Abu-Sharif is a seasoned investment banker with over 16 years of experience in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Omar was Managing Director, Head of Sales & Coverage for Levant & Egypt, and Head of Private Institutional Clients for Middle East & Africa at Deutsche Bank's Corporate & Investment Bank, based in London and Dubai. In this role, Omar originated and oversaw a large volume of complex transactions, while developing an unparalleled network of strong relationships with governments, corporates, financial institutions, and high net worth individuals. Under his leadership, Deutsche Bank was awarded the Best Foreign Bank in Lebanon for two consecutive years, 2013 and 2014.

Omar’s experience spans the spectrum of products and industries, having successfully led three Eurobond offerings for the Republic of Lebanon, helped clients optimise balance sheets and manage risks through securitizations, derivatives, repos, etc. He has enabled clients to meet growth objectives by advising on M&A situations and leading debt and equity placements.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Omar ran Middle Markets Institutions for Middle East & Africa for Merrill Lynch in London.
